Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a great week! 👏🏻

Yesterday, I released my new painting series called "Psychosis", nine original abstract mixed media paintings exploring the disruption of the mind, hidden messages, and people’s relationship with mental health.

- Original paintings.
- Acrylic, natural pigment, gold mica flake, and water-soluble pencil on canvas.
- 10x10in (25.40x25.40cm).
- $70.00/ea.

It all started when I left the comfort of my apartment for the enclosed quarters of a Royal Canadian Navy frigate, deployed on Operation Reassurance to strengthen NATO’s deterrence and defense efforts by increasing Canada’s land, maritime, and air capabilities in Europe. I traded my routine, my husband, and my art practice, for a uniform, Gravol tablets, and 440 feet of steel. Ha ha ha! Great deal, right?

Few months in, I started to crave for social isolation. I would just pour myself a cup of coffee before walking back to the sleeping quarters, a podcast in the ears. I had no energy… my social battery has completely run down. I couldn’t wait to get home! 🏠🌊

Thankfully, section was A1. Thank God! Everyone was so easygoing and positive, it certainly contributed to keep my morale at its best from start to finish.

I am grateful to my fellow shipmates for all the good laughs. I have learned so much from them.
